Product Benefit
- Skim coating for concrete wall, column, ceiling and joints etc.
- Easy to apply, requires less effort, and provides excellent adhesion.
- Excellent use for both interior and exterior.
- Premium quality at great value, certified to TIS 3056-2563 standard for thin plaster mortar.
Application System
Surface Preparation
- For new concrete or plaster surfaces, allow to dry and cure for at least 2 weeks.
- The surface must be strong, clean, and free from dust, loose particles, cement residue, paint, oil, grease, or other contaminants.
- For old or deteriorated surfaces that are chalky or peeling, apply Shark Primer (or suitable bonding primer) first to enhance adhesion.
- Chip off or grind down excessive ridges or uneven seams caused by formwork removal.
- Repair large cracks or deep holes prior to application.
- Lightly dampen the surface with clean water before plastering.
Appication Method
- Mix SHARK PRO SKIMCOAT 20 kg (1 bag) with 7.0–8.5 liters of clean water, or adjust to a workable consistency. Blend with a low-speed drill mixer until a smooth, homogeneous paste is obtained.
- Apply with a steel trowel in a thin, even coat as required. Recommended thickness per coat: 0.5–1.0 mm.
- For a thicker build-up, apply additional coats. Allow the first coat to dry for approximately 1–2 hours before applying the next coat.
- For a smoother finish, allow the skim coat to dry for 4–6 hours, then sand the surface as desired.
- To ensure optimal adhesion, clean off all dust after sanding and allow the surface to dry for 3–7 days (depending on weather conditions) before applying paint or other finishing systems.
