Rust-proof paint: Right-paired Selection for Long-Lasting, Durable, Luxurious House

Some people choose the most expensive rust-proof paint, believing that it helps the steel work become durable. While, others pick the cheapest rust-proof paint, thinking that it remains to be painted over with the real color after a while. Neither idea is wrong. But, would it be better to decide to get the most suitable rust-proof paint? So, not much money is paid for a good reason, or less money is spent with several times of repainting. Unknowingly, that becomes expensive.

What is rust-proof paint?
what is rust-proof paint

Rust-proof paint is an iron paint being painted as a primer layer or appropriately called rust-free primer to protect the steel surface from reactions of outside climate until the steel becomes rusty. Rust-proof paint also increases the adhesion of real paint (also known as topcoat paint) on the steel surface.

TOA Rust Tech Primer immediately stops rusting with its 2-part epoxy coating system (TOA Rust Tech). It can be used for both old and new steel with its special characteristics to stop spreading of old rust and preventing new rust. It can also be painted on a non-severe blistered steel surface. For a polished rusty-steel but still remaining rust, it can be painted with this rust-proof primer immediately after surface cleaning. Most importantly, it is resistant to the sun and rain, as well as withstand stronger moisture than normal from the sea.

Galvanized steel or zinc plated steel
MD 2IN1 RUST TECH is primer and topcoat in one for galvanized stell

Galvanized steel or zinc plated steel is a steel with zinc plated by various methods, including hot dip, coating and use of electricity, which will make a shiny steel. Painting a galvanized steel or zinc plated steel requires choosing specific colors for this type of steel. Otherwise, the colors may not adhere to the surface or the paint gets peeled off.

TOA has many paint products for the galvanized steel under a brand of “Mandarin Duck”, or so called MD 2IN1 RUST TECHIt is both a rust-proof primer and topcoat in one paint. The surface dries quickly in 10 minutes and is corrosion resistant, with effective prevention of rust and resistance to abrasion when moving.

How to paint by types of steel?

FAQ

Q : Can a rusty-steel be painted over?
A : To paint over the old rusty-steel color, just rub off the old paint and rust as much as possible. Then, use TOA Rust Tech primer to stop the spread of new rust, as a foundation before painting over with the topcoat.

Q : What is the rust-proof paint mixed with or how to dilute it?
A : Before use, thinner must be mixed as a solvent to reduce thickness of the paint. So, it can be easier to paint by choosing a thinner in accordance with the specified number of rust-proof paint. Other numbers of thinner are not recommended due to its adverse effects on the color texture.

Q : Can galvanized steel be painted?
A : TOA specifically has the galvanized paint products, such as MD 2IN1 RUST TECH which is both rust-proof primer and topcoat. It is convenient and easy to use, quick drying, corrosion resistant, rust-preventive and durable for any scratches when moving.
